We can administer new hire or annual membership evaluations! Aren't quite ready to purchase your own FIREFIT trainer, but need a quantifiable independent fitness evaluation? We can do that!
All we need is a few months lead time, and we can bring a couple of FIREFIT trainers out and administer your department evaluations, scheduled around your departments shifts. This helps to eliminate overtime expenses by not having your members have to come in on days off for fitness evaluations. Your department will receive a confidential pass/fail certificate for each member, along with recommendations on overall fitness improvement for members. Our fitness evaluation form will give detailed information such as beginning heart rate, heart rates during evaluation, ending heart rate, and candidate perceived exertion (CPE). The CPE will provide proctors with feedback comparing where the candidate sees the difficulty level vs. candidates actual heart rates. For example, if the candidate says his CPE is 3 (on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being most difficult), but his heart rates are in the 170s, that candidate may push himself beyond a safe level of operation. We will also grade your members/candidates level of fitness on a scale of 1-5. 1 being very fit and 5 needing to work on their fitness to operate safely on the fireground and not put themselves at risk for overexertion or injury.
