Firefit Program Guide

Proprietary Training Manual

Years of research have gone into the FireFit Training Manual, making the job of placing your FireFit program into service as streamlined as possible.

The FireFit proprietary training manual takes the guesswork out of how to build your departments fitness program, especially if you need a standardized program. The FireFit program tracks your members fitness like nothing else on the market. From new hires to the veterans, you will be able to track and monitor fitness progress.

The manual contains a small part of the FireFit equipment development story, the circuit instructions, proctor and candidate/member instruction forms, an SOG we created that can be adopted, a liability waiver when administering the evaluation to non-members, an alternate card workout based around the FireFit tasks, and finally contact information for reordering consumables such as the skids.

Annual/New Hire Evals

Evaluations

We can administer new hire or annual membership evaluations! Aren’t quite ready to purchase your own FireFit trainer, but need a quantifiable independent fitness evaluation? We can do that!

All we need is a few months lead time, and we can bring a couple of FireFit trainers out and administer your department evaluations, scheduled around your departments shifts. This helps to eliminate overtime expenses by not having your members have to come in on days off for fitness evaluations.

Your department will receive a confidential fitness evaluation report for each member or candidate, along with recommendations on overall fitness improvement for members.  Our fitness evaluation form will give detailed information such as beginning heart rate, heart rates during evaluation, ending heart rate, and candidate perceived exertion (CPE). The CPE will provide proctors with feedback comparing where the candidate sees the difficulty level vs. candidates actual heart rates. For example, if the candidate says his CPE is 3 (on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being most difficult), but his heart rates are in the 170s, that candidate may push himself beyond a safe level of operation. If your department requires an annual consumption test, The FireFit evaluation will meet those requirements simultaneously with the fitness evaluation, as we have integrated a pre and post air consumption category into our evaluation forms.

With almost 500 data points taken, we can confidently categorize and rank members or candidates based on completion times and heart rate recovery.
